Monique loves fashion so when she spotted some of these dresses in an old Paris magazine of the 1800’s. she decided to put some of them in her paintings to demonstrate how lovely and creative people were then and still are!

Le Vagabond de Puerto Rico, the artist met on a trip to the Caribbean’s in 2014 and she loved his look, the way he was sitting, admiring the people feeding the birds in the square. The wall behind him was red and she loves this color. He seemed so free and relaxed although his life as a street person may not always be very easy.

The Florida House came from a trip to Miami to get on a cruise ship with her son Peter and daughter Jennifer. On the way back, as they walked slowly near their hotel, she saw this old run down house and fell in love with it.
